A Dozen People Make Dozens of Donuts
for Haitian Relief
GRAFTON – Eleven adults and one teenager of the Grafton Seventh-day Adventist Church worked through Saturday night, January 30th, making more than 84 dozen donuts which were sold raising $600 to send to the Haitian earthquake victims.
“The church donated more than $200 for the ingredients, allowing the entire sum from the sales to help the people of that devastated area,” the donut project coordinator Diane Gregg stated. “All of the volunteers worked hard and we had a lot of fun as we worked and laughed together,” she concluded. The final sum also included donations made to the project.
The 12 workers who turned out the tasty, glazed donuts included Dennis and Janet Collins, Frank and Barbara Dadisman, Diane, Butch, and Hannah Gregg, Sonny and Leona Jenkins, Randy and Marty Murphy, and Kim Shafferman.
The funds have been sent to ADRA, the Adventist Development and Relief Agency, which has a large on-going relief program active in Haiti.
